New music

Recent children’s music on CD – from pop to “kindie” to world music

There's a wealth of new children's music being produced at the minute, both by specialised kids music artists like Dan Zanes and Lunch Money, and by acts who also make music for grown-ups like They Might Be Giants, Andre 3000 and Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips. A lot of it comes out of the US, where it seems like the kids music scene is really booming, but there's also plenty of good children's world music available.

There's so much that we struggle to keep up, especially when sometimes a reviewer, when asked to do her job, might say "NO! I want They Might Be Giants again!". So if your favourite kids artist is missing from the site, please contact us and we'll make sure to get them in for you (or, if we already have them in the house, finish up arguing about what we think and get them up on the site).
