If you want to find out about new stuff as it comes in there are two ways you can do it without having to keep checking back on the website.
Enter your email in this form and whenever I put something new up my little review will be emailed to you.
The email service is provided by a Google service called Feedburner, so when you click on “Subscribe” you’ll get a popup widow that looks different to the kids-tunes site – don’t worry, it’s totally legit and you won’t get spammed (by me or by Feedburner, at least)
RSS
RSS feeds sound mysterious but they aren’t – basically use you a “reader” (most often your email or your web browser) to subscribe to the site, and everytime something new gets posted on the site your reader will pick it up automatically.
So if you subscribe, everytime I put something new up here it’ll arrive in your reader. Similar to email, really, except for your normal inbox doesn’t get cluttered up.
The easiest way to do it is using your email application – I use Thunderbird, and new posts in RSS feeds I’ve subscribed to arrive just like emails in their own folder for me to read at my leisure. It’s really handy. Here’s a link to a site to tell you how to set it up. If you use Outlook (or Outlook Express) you can use this plugin to subscribe to the feed – you don’t need the plugin for Outlook 2007 and after, you can just set up the feed direct.
Also, if you use Firefox or Opera as your web browser, you can just click on the little orange rss icon (like the one below) in your address bar near the top of your browser. You’ll be asked if you want to add the feed to your Live Bookmarks – if you do you’ll get a bookmark that acts like a folder, and when you hover over it the latest 10 posts will pop out and you can click on them.
There’s probably a zillion other ways to subscribe to a feed, they’re just the ones I know. Anyway, here’s the link to my feed:
